Last night, I spoke at IgniteNOLA on the topic of interactive, Internet art. To give it a twist and challenge, I gave the presentation as if I was actually in the year 2020 and doing a retrospective of the pivotal points in its history.
Because I also realized that art (and games by association) can sometimes seem trivial and frivolous in times of individual and/or collective disaster, downtown, and distress, I slanted the talk to address this.
